Sakonnet Point in Little Compton, Rhode Island is the perfect end to a day trekking through Pardon Gray Preserve and Weetamoo Woods in Tiverton.

Pardon Gray Preserve and Weetamoo Woods in Tiverton are conjoined properties with an easy but diverse network of trails that have high rocky spots, and low cedar bogs. If you start on the Cemetery Trail, you'll pass some cows coming into the woods, and West Place Animal Sanctuary will be to your left. Hike a few loops in the woods and then head all the way south to Sakonnet Point for an amazing view of Sakonnet Light, a lil sparkplug lighthouse built in 1884. The water is crystal clear and pleasantly refreshing. Stop at Evelyn's Drive-In on your way home. Their chowder and stuffies are stellar.
